Biography

The Halswell County Council was formed in 1911 with the amalgamation of the Halswell and Tai Tapu Road Boards via the Selwyn County Subdivision Act of 1910. The Council amalgamated with Paparua County Council in 1968. Paparua County Council in turn amalgamated with Christchurch City Council in 1989.
