Biography
The Fendalton Waimairi Community Board was formed in 1989 after the major local government reforms which saw Christchurch City Council amalgamating with Waimairi District Council, Heathcote County Council, part of Paparua District Council, Riccarton Borough Council and the Christchurch Drainage Board. The Fendalton Waimairi Community Board became the Fendalton Waimairi Harewood Community Board in 2016 after the local elections, with the splitting out of the Harewood Ward from the Waimairi Ward. In 2022 the Fendalton Waimairi Harewood Community Board Community Board became the Waimāero Fendalton Waimairi Harewood Community Board following the local elections.
