New Zealand: notes of a journey taken to the River Taipo and back 16 December 1868-6 January 1869 by William Christian. Includes a photocopy of a typescript by Frederick Newnham Christian about 1950 in London and two Lyttelton times reports.

William Christian, with two companions, Arthur Hopper and J.V. Hopps, travelled in a spring cart from Christchurch to the Taipo River, Westland.

Photocopy of a New Zealand Shipping Company Embarkation notice to passengers on the R.M.S. Wakanui. The notice has names of passengers, including three members of the Kingsland family, written at the top.

The Wakanui was leaving from Gravesend. The passenger names are John Lewis and Edith Russell Kingsland, and their daughter, Edith Henrietta Goodson?/Kingsland.
