Biography

The Club was formed in 1916 and a wooden pavilion (building) was constructed to serve as the Taylor’s Mistake Surf Life Saving club house by the end of that year. In March 1952 the original clubhouse was destroyed by fire, with a new club house built in the mid 1950s. The Canterbury Earthquakes damaged this building and a replacement clubhouse was opened 7 February 2021.
