Friends of the Halswell Library

 Organization

Biography

The Friends of the Halswell Library was begun by the then librarian Mrs Joyce Turner. The Friends volunteered at the library and fundraised for it. One of their projects was the restoration of seven ornate chairs that originally belonged to the Halswell County Council. The chairs are still being used at the Te Hāpua: Halswell Centre.
