Biography
The Society for Research on Women in New Zealand (SROW) was a group dedicated to research topics concerning women. It began in 1966 and carried out many pieces of research mostly done on a voluntary basis. It reached its pinnacle in 1973 but by 1991 the national organisation closed down with only the Canterbury and Wellington branches still operating. It was officially wound up in 2006. Over the years it published over 50 pieces of research and a newsletter beginning in 1967 and continuing until 1991.
