Biography
The Council was formed in 1974, and wound up in 1980, its functions taken over by the Canterbury Museum Library, University of Canterbury Library, and Canterbury Public Library, and, in 1981, by the Archives and Records Association of New Zealand Canterbury Branch (see ACX 9903).
