Biography

Formerly the Community Services Group, the Community and Democratic Services Group was formed in 2015. During the recovery of the City from the 2010-2011 Canterbury Earthquakes, the Council divided its operations into two focus areas; day-to-day operations and Rebuild and Recovery Operations. Community and Democracy Services Group were part of the day-to-day operations area.

Community and Democracy Services became the Customer and Community Group in 2016.
