Biography

The Council administered the Canterbury Provincial Patriotic Fund, a welfare fund for returned soldiers and their dependants. In June 1963 the Council rules were changed to reduce the number of meetings to only one meeting per year. It ran out of funds in 1973 but still appeared to be in existence in 1982.
