Biography
The Burwood Pegasus Community Board was formed in 1989 after the major local government reforms which saw Christchurch City Council amalgamating with Waimairi District Council, Heathcote County Council, part of Paparua District Council, Riccarton Borough Council and the Christchurch Drainage Board. The Burwood Pegasus Community Board became the Coastal Burwood Community Board in 2016 after the 2016 local elections where boundary changes saw the Pegasus Ward becoming part of both the Burwood Ward and the newly established Coastal Ward. In 2022 the Coastal Burwood Community Board became the Waitai Coastal Burwood Linwood Community Board, when the Linwood Ward joined the Burwood and Coastal Wards following the local elections.
