Biography

The Community Operations Group was established in 1989 from the former Department of City Administration, following the amalgamation of wider Christchurch authorities.

The Group was responsible for corporate administration, total quality management and Service Centres. Thes included Fendaltion Service Centre, Sockburn Service Centre, Riccarton Service Centre, Beckenham Service Centre, Linwood Service Centre, Shirley Service Centre and Papanui Service Centre.

In 1993 the Administration Group was set up, replacing the Community Operations Group but retaining the same functions.
