Biography

In 2004 following a restructre of the Groups, the Regulation and Democracy Services Group is established and within it the Environmental Services Unit. The Unit included resource management, environmental monitoring, environmental effects, animal control and building control.

This remained in place until 2014, when Christchurch City Council implemented a temporary structure to support the rebuild and recovery of the city following the Canterbury Earthquakes of 2010-2011. As part of this new structure, property became part of the Rebuild and Recovery Operations area. Property functions were split across different units with this.
