Biography

Following the 1989 amalgamation of a number of authorities in the wider Christchurch area, the Parks and Recreation Unit became the Parks Unit as part of the Technical Services Group.

The Unit included, as at 1994, Parks Policy and Quality Control, Arborculture, Planning, Parks Development and Nurseries, Park Rangers and the Christchurch Botanic Gardens.
