Biography

In 1974 the former Recreation and Cultural Committee was split, with the Cultural Committee being established to include all discussions relating to City library services. The Parks and Recreation Committtee retained responsibility for the Robert McDougall Art Gallery, parks, reserves, cemeteries and recreational facilities. This committee remained until 2001 when it became the Parks, Gardens and Waterways Committee.
