Biography

In 2010 a committee structure was reinstated after it was removed in 2005. The Heritage and Arts Committee was responsible for heritage buildings and spaces, particulary following the Canterbury Earthquake in 2010. It was also responsible for libraries and the Art Gallery. In 2012 this committee became the Community, Recreation and Culture Committee.
