Biography

The site for the Lyttelton Anglican Cemetery was designated in the original 1848 survey by Captain Joseph Thomas, with the first burial taking place in Dec 1850 (with the death of a First Four Ships passenger John Williams). Control of the cemetery was passed to the Lyttelton Borough Council in 1982.
