Scope and Contents
Records of cemeteries on Banks Peninsula. Includes plot plans, cemetery registers, recipt books and other records relating to Pigeon Bay 1874-2018, Duvauchelle and Wainui 1881-2019, Le Bons Bay 1897-2018, Akaroa Catholic 1866-2020, Akaroa Anglican 1857-2020, Akaroa Roman Catholic 1863-2019, Akaroa Dissenters 1875-2019, Lyttelton Presbyterian Minute book 1889-1920, Lyttelton Public Cemetery Index 1880-1997 and Lyttelton Reserve Terrace (Catholic) indexes 1872-1990.
Also includes cemetery registers, begun by Little River Cemetery Board and then contents continued by Wairewa County Council, Banks Peninsula District Council and then CCC Little River Service Centre. List the date of burial, name, age of person, sex, address, occupation, plot and block number. Some include notes on how they died, notes on who they were in the community. Plot Register: Plot number, name and date of burial. Plot plans: Marks plots in use only, no names or dates.
