Biography

The Water Supply committee is first recorded in Christchurch City Council minutes in 1879. In 1907 this committee became also referred to as the General Water Supply Committee following the authorisation of loans to provide high pressure water supplies to all Christchurch City Council Ward areas. In 1926 this becomes the Water Supply and Works Committee.
