Biography
Junior Chamber International or Jaycees is an international organisation for young people aged 18-40yrs providing development opportunities to empower young people to create positive change. This organization, a junior offshoot of the Chamber of Commerce, was established in June 1944 as the Canterbury Junior Chamber of Commerce. In January 1960 it changed its name to Canterbury Junior Chamber. In 1969 it became Christchurch Jaycee.
