Biography
The Transitional Committee for the new Christchurch City Council was set up in 1989 with the sole purpose of navigating issues relating to the amalgamation of authorities into Christchruch City Council. These included Heathcote County Council, Riccarton Borough Council, Waimairi District Council, part of Paparua County Council and the Christchurch Drainage Board. Following amalgamation at the end of 1989 this committee was disestablished.
