Biography

The Association was founded in 1951 "to promote the civic, educational and recreational amenities of the district". It was wound up in 1984.The Association worked on facilities such as petitioning for a foot bridge in Avondale, and it petitioned the Transport Board for years to get a bus out to Burwood Hospital in the 1950s and 60s.
