North Linwood-Dallington Burgesses' Association (Christchurch, N.Z.)

 Organization

Biography

Burgesses’ associations existed to advocate and represent the interests of ratepayers’. The North Linwood Burgesses’ Association was set up in November 1925. The Dallington Burgesses’ Association appears to have had a brief existence in the mid 1920s. Its possible that members from this association later joined with either the Burgesses associations of North Linwood or Avonside Burgesses’ North Linwood Burgesses Association changed its name in the mid 1950s to the North Linwood-Dallington Burgesses' Association
