Biography
At least two grandchildren of Willaim Wood 1741-1814 emigrated to Australia and some of their children came to New Zealand. Martha (Mattie) Haswell Wood (1849-1926) married Robert Allan on 14 Apr. 1869 in St. Michael and All Angels Church, Christchurch. Mary Haswell Wood (1855-1928) married William, second son of James Purvis Jameson, on 21 Nov. 1887 in Trinity Congregational Church, Christchurch. James Purvis Jameson and his family came to New Zealand on the Sebastopol in 1863. He was a founding member, organist and choirmaster of Trinity Congregational Church.
