Stanners, Richard

Richard Stanners son of Robert Anderson Stanners and Grace Stanners was a Christchurch plumber. He worked for Frank L. Horne, plumber, from 1925-1931, when the Depression put him out of work. He worked for J. Gadsen & Co. as a solderer in 1932-1933, before obtaining plumbing work again, with the firm of Ayling & King. About ten years later, in 1943, the firm was taken over and he again, through no fault of his own, became unemployed.
