Biography

Peter Beaven was born in 1925 and was a Architect in Christchurch and designed a range of prominent buildings including Chateau on the Park Hotel and the Lyttelton Road Tunnel Administration building. After loosing his office in the Provincial Council Chambers during the February 2011 Earthquakes Beaven moved to Blenheim. In 2003, Beaven was awarded the New Zealand Institute of Architecture's Gold Medal. Beaven died in 2012.
