Biography
Don Donnithorne was born in 1926 and was a well known architect in Christchurch. He was a student alongside Maurice Mahoney and in his early career worked for Architect Paul Pascoe. During his career he designed a number of key buildings in Christchurch including the Netball Centre in Hagley Park and the Air Force Museum of New Zealand in Wigram. Donnithorne was given an MBE in 1987. Don Donnithorne died in 2016.
