Biography
John O'Halloran was born in Clare, Ireland, and came to New Zealand in 1862. Initially a shepherd, he bought land in the Loburn area. He later bought Glentui Station, near Oxford on the Glentui River. In 1880 he married Catherine Helena Cummings, and they had three daughters and one son.
