Biography

Dr. Bradshaw came to Christchurch from England in 1902, to the joint position of organist and choirmaster at Christchurch Cathedral and lecturer in music at Canterbury University College. He and his family lived in Cashmere. In 1937 he resigned from his Cathedral post, and in the same year he became Professor of Music at the University, retiring in 1941. He was prominent in the musical life of Christchurch, especially devoted to choral music.
