Biography
Una Wells' father John Boyd was born in Christchurch in 1873. He was a champion cyclist of his day. He worked in the Atlanta cycle works, his father Thomas Boyd's factory. Later Boyd cycles were manufactured there, superseding the Atlanta brand. In 1912 the family moved to Nelson, and later to Wanganui.
