Biography
The Ridley sisters came out to Canterbury on the Cashmere in 1855.The eldest sister, Sarah Ann, was a widow of 41, and her daughter, also named Sarah Ann Brunning, aged 22, came with her. The younger Ridley sisters, Lucy and Mary, were aged 30 and 26 respectively. All three sisters, and Sarah's daughter, married in New Zealand, twice in the elder Sarah's case.
