Photocopies of background papers and documents to accompany The story of the Isabella Hercus from her construction until her shipwreck by John Hercus.

These documents mostly concern the ship's two trips to Canterbury, bringing colonists, in 1851 and in 1856. Passenger lists, diary entries and biographical details are included.
