Biography
Peter and Mary Ann Rossiter and their two-year-old daughter Elizabeth arrived on the Sir George Seymour in 1850. In the early 1860s the family (there were two daughters and six sons, born 1848-1872) moved to Oxford where they ran a sawmill. In the 1880s they moved north to Dannevirke, although a son John and a daughter Martha and their families remained in the Oxford and Rangiora districts. In 1985 the family held reunions in Dannevirke and in Oxford.
