Biography
Malcolm was the son of Ronald Peake, solicitor of Howard House, Ashstead, Surrey. Born in 1891 he was baptised January 1892.
He served with the UK Military, King's Own Yorkshire Yorkshire Light Infantry and was discharged in 1920. His brother Colin died in WW1. Malcolm first came to NZ in 1925 and took at least one trip home in 1934.
Malcolm Currie Peake was appointed a Magor in the Home Guard in command of the Waipara Battalion as of 1 August 1941 (Source New Zealand, World War II Appointments, Promotions, Transfers and Resignations, 1939-1945 via Ancestry).
