Biography

Robert Amos Row, a commercial traveller living in St. Albans, Christchurch, married Agnes Amy Stewart in 1913.

From 1914 he served overseas as a Major of the 1st Canterbury Mounted Rifles Regiment, chiefly in Egypt, Gallipoli and France. Major Row later served in World War II as a Brigadier and later as a General.

Bound photocopy of two World War I diaries, the earlier one originally with a red cover, the other with a black cover. The diaries are of Major Robert Amos Row, 1st Canterbury Regiment, New Zealand Expeditionary Force, 1914-1916.
