Biography

Charles Brown Grierson, at twenty-one the eldest of his family,sailed from Gravesend to Lyttelton with his parents and ten siblings, the youngest a baby. Charles Grierson joined the staff of the Union Bank of Australia, eventually being promoted to posts in Timaru, in Dunedin, and finally in Auckland.
