Biography
Shirley was born to teacher Arthur Grenville Stephen Jonathan and Amy Elizabeth nee Simpkin at Dargaville. She was a university lecturer and researcher in parasitology. In 1952 she married air conditioning engineer Karel Rind.

Cassettes containing oral histories, predominantly of women connected to Canterbury University. The initial project was set up by the Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Federation of University Women in 1989. Most interviews are conducted by Stancey Yeabsley and were recorded between 1989 - 2009.
