Biography
Freda was born to Harold Ernest Collins and Winifride Hannah nee Sands at Christchurch. She was involved in the women's liberation movement from the 1930s on. In 1939 Freda married Roy James Scullin.

Cassettes containing oral histories, predominantly of women connected to Canterbury University. The initial project was set up by the Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Federation of University Women in 1989. Most interviews are conducted by Stancey Yeabsley and were recorded between 1989 - 2009.
