Biography

Sybil was born to Anglican clergyman Wilfrid Gaster Williams and teacher Madeline nee Chalk, Wilfrid was the Superintendent of the Māori Mission, Wellington Diocese 1919 - 1940. She was a teacher with deep involvement in organisation of Christian Education. In 1940 Sybil married Anglican clergyman Samuel Edward Woods.

Cassettes containing oral histories, predominantly of women connected to Canterbury University. The initial project was set up by the Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Federation of University Women in 1989.
