Biography

Betty was born to Professor of Public Administration Francis Armand Bland and music teacher Lillian Victoria nee Orr. She worked as a librarian, a teacher and for the War Damage Commission at Ryde. In 1941 Betty married physicist Norman Frederick Roberts.

Cassettes containing oral histories, predominantly of women connected to Canterbury University. The initial project was set up by the Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Federation of University Women in 1989.
