Biography
Pamela was born to teacher Edward Galbraith Pankhurst and Georgina nee Cranstoun. She had any occupation including lecturer of Art History and teaching as well as being involved with the historic places trust. In 1961 Pamela married school teacher and insurance broker John McVean Wilson.

The initial project was set up by the Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Federation of University Women in 1989.
