Biography

Denis was born to James Hogan and cook Violet nee Thomson at Methven. He was an analytical chemist who contracted polio as a child and campaigned for rights for the disabled, was NZ President of the Post-Polio Society. In 1957 Denis married teacher Helen Merrick nee Watson.
