Biography
Judith was born to business owner Sydney Gill and office secretary Crystal nee Watson at Timaru. She worked as a law clerk and occupational therapist and was District Commissioner of the Girl Guides. In 1955 Judith married accountant and businessman Hamish Grenfell Hay who served as mayor of Christchurch for 15 years.

Cassettes containing oral histories, predominantly of women connected to Canterbury University. The initial project was set up by the Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Federation of University Women in 1989.
