Biography

Nancy was born to agricultural instructor George Sackville Ridley and teacher Eva Hearne nee Gunn at Wairoa. She was a teacher in country districts in the 1930s and 1940s as well as in the UK, she also worked as a governess in the Australian outback.

Cassettes containing oral histories, predominantly of women connected to Canterbury University. The initial project was set up by the Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Federation of University Women in 1989.
