Biography
Molly was born to Newspaper proprietor Roy Patterson Furness and Elsie May nee Evans at Blenheim. She was a journalist who lived through the Murchison Earthquake and lived in Noumea and France. In 1947 she married Gordon Sloane Troup, he died in 1977 and she married retired farmer George Temple Barker in 1983.

Cassettes containing oral histories, predominantly of women connected to Canterbury University. The initial project was set up by the Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Federation of University Women in 1989.
