Biography
Josephine was born to William Arthur Wallace and Lucy nee Stevens at Christchurch. She was a shorthand typist and one of the first to train as a commercial teacher. Josephine was a foundation member of Cashmere High School and wrote primers on teaching commercial subjects.

Cassettes containing oral histories, predominantly of women connected to Canterbury University. The initial project was set up by the Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Federation of University Women in 1989.
