Biography
Margaret was born to stationmaster Thomas Francis Leonard and restaurant worker Margaret nee Brady at Dunedin. She was a teacher and education researcher who was an MP for 12 years and Chancellor of Lincoln University. In 1955 Margaret married John Maurice Austin.
