Biography
Jean was born to bank manager Elliot Lawrence Keir Atkinson and Jean Agnes nee Moss at Wellington. She had a varied working life including as a bank officer, office worker, a researcher in History Department, as the Lincoln University Administrator for the handicapped and as an exam supervisor. In 1967 Jean married secondary teacher Graeme Robert Sharfe.

Cassettes containing oral histories, predominantly of women connected to Canterbury University. The initial project was set up by the Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Federation of University Women in 1989.
