Biography
Richard Rowe, a farm labourer from Cornwall, sailed from London 18 November 1878 on board the ship Boyne. He arrived in Lyttelton 27 February 1879 and later settled in Southbridge. The passenger list gives his age as 20 but Richard's family records in New Zealand indicate he was 16 when he left England. He married Caroline Ann Eddy 9 April 1902.
