Biography
John Twigger, heir of the Anglican cleric, Joseph Twigger, left his fortune to charity. When the original charities disbanded, a court decision was made that the estate be used by 20th century charities such as Women's Refuge and the Cholmondeley Children's Home. In the 1990s, the Cholmondeley Home restored John Twigger's gravestone in Addington Cemetery. The restoration work was undertaken by Decra Art Ltd.
