Biography
Helen Rose Buchanan was born 5 Oct. 1912 to John Fletcher and Isabel Olive Buchanan. Her father was a sheep farmer at Kinloch homestead in Little River, Banks Peninsula. He established Kinloch Stud and bred race horses until his death in 1927.
